An antique 19th-century or early 20th-century French or European hand-painted opalescent/opaline glass covered pedestal jar or urn. Features a coral red matte casing with gold gilded classical motifs, a griffin design on the lid, and a finely painted portrait medallion of a woman framed in a Greek key border on the front. The interior is white glass with a painted green number '2' mark on the bottom.
